Land Clearing & Forestry Mulching in Murray, KY

Overgrown brush, saplings and whole wooded lots, ground to mulch in place or cleared down to the dirt.

Land Clearing & Forestry Mulching

Cut, grind and mulch in one pass.

Forestry mulching uses a tracked machine with a spinning mulching head.

It grinds brush, vines, saplings and small trees into mulch right where they stand.

The mulch stays on the ground and breaks down over time, feeding the soil and holding it against erosion.

There are no brush piles to haul off or burn.

It also takes out the dry undergrowth that feeds a fire, which matters on wooded lots and pasture edges.

What we look for

Good fits for mulching and clearing

  • Overgrown back acreage

Brush and saplings that took over a field or a lot.

  • Fence rows and pasture edges

Cleared back to the wire and kept that way.

  • Building lots

Trees, stumps and brush out before grading starts.

  • Trails and sight lines

Paths, drives and views opened through the woods.

How we do it

Clearing a lot to build on.

When a lot is cleared for construction, the trees are felled and removed.

Stumps are ground 6 to 12 inches below grade, and roots in the way of grading come out.

Wood is hauled off or chipped, and the site is left with clear sight lines and nothing hidden for the excavator to find.

Murray’s clay soil compacts easily under heavy equipment, so clearing is best done in dry weather.

We will plan the timing with you, and leave trees for shade or windbreak if you want them.
